This 1U short-depth server, officially named A+ Server AS-1115SV-WTNRT, is powered by a single AMD EPYC 8004 Series processor with up to 64 cores. It boasts a hefty 576 GB of DDR5 memory, 3 PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, and up to 10 hot-swappable drive bays. Supermicro touts its new server as perfect for virtualization, firewall, and cloud services, thanks to its high efficiency and low power consumption. They also presented quantum-safe cryptography solutions, including Kyber and Dilithum, to counter quantum computing threats. Additionally, AMD highlighted the GreenRAN 5G solution on their EPYC 8004 Series processors, emphasizing its adaptability across various CPUs.
